  22. Someone who usually gets 26.4 =may= begin seeing 28.8 connects providing
  23. their phone line has a good signal-to-noise ratio.  This logic assumes
  24. that the reason for them only getting 26.4 in the first place is due to
  25. phone line bandwidth restrictions and not a diminished SNR.

  27. This new 33.6 firmware will only afford you these enhancements *IF THE
  28. HOST PROVIDER IS RUNNING IT AS WELL! There is no advantage to equipping
  29. one end only, which is why so many people "upgrading" their firmware are
  30. not seeing what others have led them to expect.  You cannot do the
  31. Foxtrot when your host provider is playing a Waltz.
